Lee In. Myers, Feliz Out.
As expected, the Phillies picked up their option on Cliff Lee. It’s the last year of Lee’s contract. He’ll be a free agent for the 2011 season.
After spending his entire career in the Phillies organization, Brett Myers wore out his welcome. Drafted in 1999, Myers made it to the major league team in 2002. His career record 73-63 with an ERA of 4.40 makes him attractive to any...
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.
The Phillies are no longer the World Champions. But they played some great baseball this season. The Yankees are just a better team.
The Yankees seemed to have a game plan. Neutralize the Phillies lefthanded hitters. And they did that with the exception of Chase Utley.
It came down to pitching. Game 3, Cole Hamels blows a three run lead. Game 4, Brad Lidge loses by giving up three runs in the...

One game at a time. We’ve got high hopes.

Three hits later, the Yankees beat Brad Lidge 7-4. Game over.
Blanton was Blanton. Not good, but not bad either. He did what the Phillies expected by giving them six innings, seven strikeouts, two walks...
In Blanton We Trust?
What choice do we have!
Cole Hamels blew a big opportunity last night. He came apart in the fourth and again in the fifth inning. And in each case it was his curveball. Or should I say, hanging curveball.
Hamels hasn’t mastered the curveball. So why would Hamels throw a hanging curve ball to Andy Petitte for god sake!
Oh yeah, the bullpen did a great job! Ugh!!!
If the Phillies win...
