THE FISHING IS GOOD. PHILS HOMER THEIR WAY TO WIN.
It rained homers last night at Citizens Bank Park. After a rain delay the Phillies continued the downpour with five homeruns, all to right field. Utley, Howard, Rollins and Brown, who hit two, found the conditions perfect for the long ball.
Cole Hamels picked up his ninth win tying Roy Halladay for the league lead. Hamels was the master of the mound although he left the game in the eighth inning with tightness in his back. Hopefully, it won’t affect his next start.
The Phils play two today. Perfect weather for another fishing excursion.
