The Phillies won the second game of the series with a strong outing by Cliff Lee. Lee held the Dbacks to two earned runs on three hits, two walks and seven strikeouts.
The Dbacks two runs came by a walk to Chris Young followed by a homerun by Paul Goldschmidt.
The Phillies offense took advantage of four walks and three errors. They added 12 hits to score nine runs.
Contributions were made up and down the lineup. Jimmy Rollins leadoff the game with a solo homer. John Mayberry had three hits. Wilson Valdez hit a flyball to centerfield for two RBIs.
Big night for the Fightin’ Phils. Vance Worley will go for his ninth win of the season and the series victory tomorrow night.
